Welcome

A mud-brick house nestles on top of a hill surrounded by three acres of natural bush, north west of Melbourne. The bush is woodland, grasses and an array of native wildflowers that appear at different times of the year. It is home to numerous creatures and birds.

The land immediately around the house was barren 15 years ago but is now a beautiful garden, full of native, indigenous and succulent plants that have brought the smaller birds, frogs, butterflies and bees to live there all year round.

This blog is the tale of this wonderland, how it evolved and how it changes throughout the year.

Enjoy.
